REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Last updated April 24, 2026
This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how GradePath handles cancellations and refund requests for paid subscriptions. Groves Holdings LLC d/b/a GradePath ("GradePath") operates on a month-to-month basis. Cancel any time, no long-term commitment.
1. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
- In the app, visit the billing section on your Profile page and click Manage subscription.
- Or email [email protected] with the subject line "Cancel my subscription".
When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. You will not be billed again. After that, your account downgrades to the Free tier and you keep your data.
2. Introductory $1 month
If you signed up under the $1 introductory month offer, you pay $1 for the first billing cycle and the normal rate thereafter. You can cancel at any time during the introductory month. If you cancel before the introductory month ends, you keep access through the end of that month and are not charged again.
3. Default refund policy
All payments are non-refundable. Subscription fees are charged at the start of each billing period and cover the entire period ahead. We do not provide refunds for partial months, unused time, or fees already paid.
4. Exceptions
We may, at our discretion, grant refunds in limited cases:
- Billing error. If we charged you incorrectly (duplicate charge, charge on the wrong card, wrong amount), email us within thirty (30) days of the charge and we will refund the affected amount.
- Unauthorized charge. If someone used your payment method without authorization, email us immediately. We will cancel the subscription and work with your bank or card issuer on the dispute.
- Service failure. If a material feature of GradePath was broken for an extended period during your billing cycle and you contacted us about it, we may offer a partial refund or account credit.
- Local law. Where applicable consumer protection law grants you a refund right that supersedes this policy (for example, European Union distance-selling rules), we honor that right.
5. Annual plans
Annual plans are billed upfront for twelve months at a discount. If you cancel an annual plan mid-term, it remains active through the end of the prepaid term; you are not charged again but you are also not refunded for the unused months. If you switch from a monthly to an annual plan mid-cycle, the change takes effect immediately and Stripe handles proration.
6. Parent-managed plans
If a parent is paying on behalf of one or more students, the parent is the subscriber and controls cancellation. Refunds, if any, are issued to the parent's payment method. Removing a student from a parent-managed plan is handled in the parent dashboard and takes effect at the next billing cycle.
7. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. We can usually resolve billing disputes within a few days. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in the affected account being suspended.
8. How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe. Processing time varies by bank, typically 5 to 10 business days.
