ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
Last updated April 24, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "
AUP") sets out what is and is not allowed when using GradePath. Groves Holdings LLC d/b/a GradePath ("
GradePath", "
we", "
us", "
our") reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates this AUP. This AUP is incorporated into our
Terms of Service.
1. Legal and ethical use
You agree to use GradePath only for lawful purposes and in a way that respects the rights of others, your educational institution, and the public. You are responsible for all activity on your account.
2. Academic integrity
GradePath is a study and academic organization tool. It is not a way to circumvent your school's academic integrity policies. You may not use GradePath or the AI tutor to:
- generate answers to graded assignments, quizzes, exams, or other assessments in violation of your institution's rules;
- submit AI-generated content as your own work in contexts where AI assistance is prohibited;
- share login credentials to an AI tutoring session with another student for the purpose of evading academic integrity policies;
- mass-extract AI responses to resell, redistribute, or post on platforms such as Chegg, Course Hero, or similar services.
You are solely responsible for knowing and following your institution's academic integrity policy. See our separate
Academic Integrity Policy for additional detail.
3. Content you may not upload or submit
You may not upload, transmit, submit, or process through GradePath any content that:
- infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, right of publicity, or other intellectual property right of any third party, including copyrighted textbooks, test banks, or proprietary course materials you do not have the right to distribute;
- is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, hateful, harassing, violent, or threatening;
- contains malware, viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or any other malicious code;
- includes personal information about other people without their consent;
- promotes illegal activity or violates any applicable law or regulation.
4. System integrity
You may not:
- interfere with or disrupt GradePath, its servers, or the networks it uses, including by overloading, spamming, or mail-bombing;
- probe, scan, or test for vulnerabilities of GradePath other than under our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy;
- circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features, rate limits, or authentication mechanisms;
- use automated means such as bots, spiders, scrapers, or headless browsers to access GradePath except for well-behaved crawlers that respect robots.txt;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of GradePath, except to the extent explicitly permitted by applicable law;
- make GradePath, in whole or in part, available as a service to third parties;
- use GradePath to train or develop any competing AI product, service, or model.
5. Fair use of AI features
GradePath's AI features run on large language models. They have per-user usage limits designed to ensure fair access and reasonable costs. Attempting to evade these limits by creating multiple accounts, using scripts, or other means is a violation of this AUP and grounds for account termination.
6. Account sharing
Each GradePath account is for a single named user. You may not share your login credentials with any other person. If you need seats for multiple users, use the parent-managed plan or contact us about a pilot.
7. LMS integrations
You may only connect a Learning Management System (LMS) account that you personally own and have the right to authorize. You may not connect an LMS account belonging to another person, an institution, or a shared account. You are responsible for ensuring that connecting your LMS account to GradePath is permitted by your institution's policies.
8. Reporting abuse
If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, contact us at
[email protected]. Copyright infringement takedown notices should be submitted according to our
DMCA Policy.
9. Enforcement
We may investigate any suspected violation of this AUP. We may suspend or terminate your account, remove content, and take any other action we consider appropriate. Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent termination and, where applicable, legal action. We may also cooperate with law enforcement in investigations.
10. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. The date at the top of this document reflects the most recent update. We will notify users of material changes by email, in-app notification, or by posting an announcement on the Services.
